1

How much does a professional negotiator cost?

Our pricing is flat-rate and transparent — no hourly billing, no hidden fees, no surprises. You pay once, and we guide you through the entire deal. Pricing starts at:

From $149 Custom negotiations and everyday purchases
$999From $649 Vehicle purchases (new, used, certified pre-owned, or lease) · ⏰ Limited time
From $999 Standalone home inspection report review
$1,999From $1,499 Residential home purchase consulting · ⏰ Limited time
From $2,400 Full home buying package (purchase consulting + inspection review)

Final pricing depends on the complexity and scope of your specific deal. We also offer a Direct Negotiation upgrade for clients who prefer hands-on consulting during the negotiation. Reach out for pricing and details on Direct Negotiation or custom engagements.

2

What types of negotiations do you handle?

We negotiate the deals most people dread doing on their own — the ones where money is on the line and the other side has more experience than you do. Common engagements include:

  • Residential real estate — single family homes, condos, townhomes, and patio homes, including resale and custom or semi-custom new construction
  • Home inspection responses — strategic review of inspection findings and repair credit negotiations
  • Vehicles — new and used car purchases, certified pre-owned, leases, and trade-ins
  • Major purchases and home improvements — roofing, windows, HVAC, solar installations, general contractors, rehabs, jewelry, and other high-dollar transactions
  • Custom deals — anything outside the standard list, evaluated on a case-by-case basis

If your situation isn't listed here, reach out and we'll let you know if we're the right fit. If there's significant money on the line, it's worth a conversation.

A note on how we work: We're a fully virtual consulting service available to clients in all U.S. states. We provide research, scripts, and strategy — but we don't contact dealers, sellers, or other parties on your behalf, and we never attend negotiations in person. You stay in the driver's seat; we make sure you're prepared and supported every step of the way.
3

Do you negotiate directly with the seller?

Not on your behalf — and that's intentional. We're consultants, not brokers or agents. Here's how the two service tiers actually work:

Standard consulting: We build your custom Playbook with strategy, scripts, and market research. You handle all communication with the seller, dealer, or counterparty. We're available for questions throughout your negotiation, but you make every offer and every decision.

Direct Negotiation: For clients who want hands-on help during the negotiation, we offer Direct Negotiation as a remote facilitated consulting engagement. When the time comes, we're connected with you live — by phone or video — coaching you through the conversation in real time. You make every offer. You accept every term. You sign every document. We're the strategist in your ear, helping you respond effectively, suggesting counter-offers, and keeping you on strategy.

Across both service tiers, we never contact the counterparty on your behalf before, during, or after the negotiation. Your relationship with the dealer, seller, agent, or other party is yours alone.

Direct Negotiation operates under a formal authorization agreement and is priced individually based on scope. Direct Negotiation fees are 100% non-refundable from the moment payment is received, due to the dedicated preparation, scheduling, and capacity reserved for your engagement.

All Direct Negotiation services are provided remotely. We do not attend negotiations in person. Contact us for a quote.

What do you need from me to get started?

Getting started is straightforward. After you complete the intake form on our website, we'll need a few key pieces of information to build your strategy. The exact details vary by deal type, but generally we'll ask for:

  • Basic deal information — what you're negotiating, your target outcome, and your timeline
  • Any documents or quotes you already have — dealer quotes, contractor estimates, inspection reports, listing details, or anything else relevant to your deal. We'll also use publicly available data (market comps, listings, advertised pricing) to inform your Playbook, but you'll handle any outreach to third parties yourself.
  • Context on the other side — who you're negotiating with (dealer name, agent, seller, contractor) and any conversations that have already happened
  • Your priorities and constraints — what matters most to you, what you're willing to compromise on, and any hard limits (budget caps, deadlines, deal-breakers)

The more you share upfront, the sharper your Playbook will be. If you're missing pieces, that's fine too — your consultant will help you identify what's needed and how to get it.

What is your refund policy?

We're a professional consulting service. Like attorneys, accountants, and other advisors who deliver expertise rather than physical products, our fees are earned through the substantial research, analysis, and strategic work that goes into every engagement — work that begins the moment your order is submitted.

Our fees are earned as follows:

25% earned at order submission — covering intake, deal analysis, consultant assignment, and the start of market research.
75% earned upon Playbook delivery — covering the completed market and cost analysis, custom scripts, counter-offer strategy, and walk-away criteria.

Once your Playbook has been delivered electronically, fees are 100% earned and non-refundable. Electronic delivery of your Playbook is considered final delivery of the contracted service.

Limited exceptions:

  • Pre-Playbook cancellation — If you cancel in writing before your Playbook has been delivered, you may request a refund of the 75% post-delivery portion. The 25% portion earned at order submission is non-refundable.
  • We decline your engagement — If we determine we're not the right fit for your deal during the initial review, you receive a full refund.
  • Custom quote not accepted — If we provide a custom quote and you choose not to proceed, you owe nothing.
Direct Negotiation engagements are governed by a separate zero-tolerance refund policy and are 100% non-refundable from the moment payment is received. See the Direct Negotiation Authorization Agreement for details.

Refund requests must be submitted in writing to billing@negotiateforme.io within 14 days of the original payment date.

Need an additional Playbook? Repeat clients receive a discounted rate on additional engagements within 12 months of their original purchase. Contact us for details.

Full refund terms are available in our Terms of Service.
